Our Approach

The children will be given an education and fed breakfast and lunch on each school day free of charge. The purpose of the facility is to provide these basic needs for the children:

  • High quality primary education with bible studies and beginning health education.
  • Wholesome, nutritional meals at breakfast and lunch at least five days each week.
  • Opportunity to be taken to professional medical facilities for treatment.
  • Clothing and shoes will be given to the orphans who have nothing to wear.

Taking this approach provides an excellent solution to the problems with emotional and social issues that can be common among the orphans in Africa. This way, they are not removed from the social support structure of the community or emotional security of any surviving extended family. Not only the orphan, but also the foster family and the community in general, can benefit from the positive impact of the project without being harmfully dependent for the long term.
In short, we want to teach the people how to fish instead of simply giving them a fish, which will not last and is not the solution.
